About Lisa

Lisa Maheu is a certified teacher who has earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Lisa has worked in Children’s Ministry for twelve years writing weekly Bible Curriculum and Vacation Bible School lessons for ages two to 5th grade. She has also taught Pre-Kindergarten for seven years.  In 2015, she traveled to Israel to study the Parables of Jesus. She is the author of “Joel’s Chance”, “Joel’s Journey’s – Discovering God’s Amazing Grace”, and “Critters of Creation- Tell of God’s Love”. Lisa is currently writing another book, “Critters of Creations learn about the Creation Story” from the eyes of a young turtle. Ms. Maheu continues to do extensive research on the Science of Reading. Lisa’s passion is to teach children how they can have a relationship with Jesus Christ while learning about history, science and improve their reading skills. She and her husband of 43 years have three daughters, two sons-in-laws, and two grandchildren.
